emily was over yesterday and i was dying to do something with my camera since i couldn’t get outside i just shot pics of the girls with funny hair in the house.  they are so hysterical!  emily wasn’t even wearing her pants!  crazy…..

twenty-ten or two-thousand and ten?

ok so i am making an early new years resolution to officially GET MY CRAP TOGETHER!!!!  i have been putting off a lot of photo stuff and i think this is the year i need to just take the plunge and do what i want to do.   so funny how i used to blog so much and now it seems as if i barely write anything.  oh well, maybe i should spend more time catching up on things as well.  it’s snowing AGAIN today and well maybe i’ll go out and take some photos.  i haven’t really done much of that since it has been so cold and snowy.  i’m just not really a cold weather person.  never have been and i am sure i never will be.  i can appreciate the beauty of the ice & snow but honestly i would much rather admire it from INSIDE while i am warm and toasty.  yeah yeah i know i’m a baby.  what can i say.  ok well i think that is only part of the problem.  my other issue is just being so uninspired by colorado.  i am SO bored with taking pictures here.  i don’t know why but i just don’t love it.  i miss the water – i’d love to go back to the oregon coast or even nor cal or seattle.  not that anyone that reads this cares one bit but that’s what i would love to do.  anyhoo i have run out of interesting things to talk about (this was probably borderline interesting anyway).  all i am saying is i really really want to do something with my life next year….

tonight avery was pretending to me “mom” and she made nate be her “sweetie” (which means she was acting like me and she wanted dad to act like her) and she stood up and said “ok sweetie let’s go”…

and nate said, “ok mommy where are we going..?”

so she replied, “we are going to qdoba sweetie!”

perfect!…I LOVE IT!  she really WAS being me!

so just for fun, here is a picture that i snapped at a BIG LOTS store in salt lake.  this is truly the most pathetic doll i have ever seen.  i cannot imagine someone buying this – actually paying money for this.  crazy…

less cold..?

ok so it seems as if my complaint was not only logged but DEFINITELY heard.  saturday i took ethan to the outlet mall and we WALKED around outside…and in t-shirts.  it wasn’t warm but it was in the mid 50’s.  i’d say that is an awesomely awesome change from -7.

however, i took myself out friday evening, and well, it was just getting dark and i didn’t realize how quickly the temperature drops when the sun goes down.  it was a whopping 36 while i was walking around at the castle rock.  i didn’t take many shots.  i just wanted some of the scrub oak at dusk but i was too late.  i couldn’t get out of the house in time to get the light i wanted.  oh well. it’s winter and i’m soooo not the biggest fan of winter so it’s not a shocker that i wouldn’t be in the mood to go out into the cold much to shoot.

maybe i am just a baby.  who knows.  ok enough for now…

logging complaint with mother nature

why oh why must it be so darn cold????

i want to go outside and take pictures.

but it’s been ummm less than tolerable outside.  last night when i got home from our cookie exchange, it was -7 degrees.

ug.

how is ANYONE supposed to do ANYTHING that they want to do when it is that BUTT FREAKING COLD OUTSIDE!?!?!?!?!

if only i looked like this, then maybe only my ears would be cold.  oh well….

ok so i just had to get that off my chest….it is supposed to be in the high 30’s this weekend.  maybe i’ll break out the swim suit and sandals.

ok so some gal sent me a message that they chose one of my photos for a local online map guide thingy.  i have never heard of it and i DIDN’T submit the photo, they just found me on flickr.  weird.  personally, i don’t think the picture is that great but they seem to like it enough to add it to their site.  here is the pic and a link to their page.  it has my name on it!  kind of cool….
